iPrompts: Notecard Prompts on the iPhone for Autistic Kids

Dan and Carey Tedesco, from Shelton, just north of where I live, created an iPhone app to aid their autistic son. iPrompts is a $49.99 app that "uses the iPhone's GPS capability and the application's bank of images and features to create a multimedia 'snapshot of a disabled person's current scenerio.'" Parents and caregivers can easily construct visual prompts to guide autistic children through their day.

Less cumbersome than carrying a stack of physical notecards, iPrompts is a great use of technology that allows for communication and makes it easier for autistic children to navigate their worlds.
